Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the Emergency Department
- Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and maintain standards of professional nursing
- Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical condition, including diagnostic study results and symptomatology
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel
- Maintain knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting requirements for child/adult abuse; maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- BVP (MAB) training required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIHSS or Stroke Certification preferred
- COVID vaccination and boosters preferred
