Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Triage)

Contract | 26 Weeks | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend | 2 Holiday Shifts | Expected 72 Hours Biweekly

Key Responsibilities

• Perform triage assessments for patients presenting to a Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department
• Provide immediate, high-acuity nursing care to patients experiencing accidents, trauma, or medical emergencies
• Utilize Epic for complete computerized charting, patient assessment, care documentation, and electronic medication administration
• Collaborate with an experienced, multidisciplinary ED team within a large, state-of-the-art emergency department
• Deliver care across a 44-bed ED encompassing fast-track, behavioral health, imaging, and private treatment room settings

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of Emergency Room nursing experience — required for triage role, non-negotiable
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Must be triage trained with current or very recent triage experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) required
• Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license required
• Must have been separated from the affiliated health system for a minimum of 6 months prior to placement (includes permanent, per diem, and contract roles)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume, Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department
• Strong proficiency with electronic health records and computerized charting workflows
• Demonstrated ability to manage high patient acuity with minimal supervision
