Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments
• Work independently in completing assignments in accordance with physician orders, standards of care, and nursing policies and procedures
• Provide nursing support to individuals of all ages and their families across inpatient medical-surgical settings
• Adhere to hospital policies and maintain compliance with all applicable standards of care
• Complete required certifications including TCAR and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within six months of hire

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute facility
• Valid, current, full, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association — must be maintained throughout employment
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association — must be maintained throughout employment
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification required within six months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within six months of hire

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a referral or regional health center serving diverse patient populations
• Familiarity with a broad range of inpatient and outpatient service lines including emergency, surgical, and specialty care
• Comfort working in a culturally diverse community environment
