Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Cardiac)

Schedule / Job Type

Full-Time | Permanent | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every third weekend (Saturday & Sunday) | Holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a primarily acute cardiac patient population, including post-invasive cardiac procedure patients, chest pain, and acute illnesses such as ETOH withdrawal, COVID, and sepsis
• Monitor and manage patients undergoing Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation and titration
• Operate and interpret telemetry monitoring using GE heart monitors and Masimo vital sign machines
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 across a multi-unit telemetry floor totaling up to 59 beds
• Collaborate with patient care technicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and TR band experience throughout employment

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• TR band experience required
• Minimum 1 year of RN hospital experience
• ADN accepted with willingness to sign a contract committing to obtain BSN within 5 years

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior experience in a cardiac telemetry or step-down unit setting
• Familiarity with GE heart monitoring systems and Stryker beds
