Registered Nurse – Acute Rehabilitation (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit with a 1:6 RN-to-patient ratio
• Manage common diagnoses and treatments including neurological conditions, trauma, burns, gait training, strengthening, and wound vac care
• Utilize Meditech EHR for documentation and patient management
• Operate lift equipment and other unit-specific equipment in accordance with facility protocols
• Float to MedSurg as needed based on unit demands
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized, patient-centered rehabilitation care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Iowa license or compact eligibility required)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
• Iowa SING background check required – criminal and child abuse portions must fully clear prior to start; no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory Reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Titers within the last 12 months required (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB)
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not required
• Background in MedSurg, inpatient rehab, or LTAC settings
• 1–2 years of rehabilitation or acute care nursing experience
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR
