Job Title

Travel RN – Med/Surg Telemetry (3 East) | 13-Week Contract

Corpus Christi, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a maximum patient ratio of 6:1
• Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, central line maintenance, and medication administration
• Perform NGT insertion and maintenance as well as continuous bladder irrigation
• Accurately document patient care and clinical findings in the Meditech EMR system
• Communicate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary care team to support patient-centered outcomes
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (or compact eligibility for Texas)
• Minimum 1 year of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year
• Demonstrated ability to safely manage 4–6 patients simultaneously
• Proficiency with standard nursing equipment and hospital EMR systems

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of experience caring for neurological patients, including CVA, TIA, and altered mental status presentations
• Background in neuro, neuro-surgery, or orthopedics strongly preferred
• Med/Surg Telemetry background considered in lieu of neuro-specific experience
