Travel Registered Nurse – Respiratory Med-Surg

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse population of adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients on a 21-bed high-acuity unit specializing in pulmonary diseases
• Monitor and interpret continuous cardiac telemetry; telemetry strip competency assessment required on Day 1
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is mandatory — no training or orientation to Epic will be provided; proficiency must be clearly documented at submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for patients with complex pulmonary or respiratory conditions
• Comfort working in high-acuity environments with rapid patient turnover and varying levels of care needs
• Experience floating across multiple Med-Surg specialty units
