Job Title

Travel Paramedic

Location

Ottumwa, IA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 8-Week Assignment | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to 911 calls and provide prehospital emergency medical care across all patient populations (pediatric, adult, and geriatric)
• Operate as part of a team to ensure continuous 24/7 ambulance coverage
• Perform assessments, interventions, and treatments in accordance with paramedic scope of practice
• Assist in the Emergency Department as requested
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation using the facility’s EHR system
• Adhere to all facility dress code and departmental policies

Required Qualifications

• Iowa or National Paramedic Certification required
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
• Completion of an accredited paramedic program
• Minimum 2+ years of paramedic experience
• Mandatory Reporter Certification (Child and Adult) required prior to start
• Must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prehospital emergency services experience strongly preferred
• Experience working in a team-oriented, high-acuity environment
• Familiarity with Trauma Level 4 facility operations
