Job Title

LPN – Medical Surgical / Observation

Location

Zanesville, OH | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every third weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care primarily on Medical Surgical and Observation units under RN oversight
• Float occasionally between various Med-Surg units as needed, including Surgical, Respiratory, Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation
• Manage a patient load of up to 5 patients under RN supervision
• Demonstrate Telemetry reading competency — candidates will be assessed on this skill and must pass on day one
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management throughout each shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio LPN license required
• Active BLS certification required
• IV certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current/recent hospital experience required
• Current Epic EMR proficiency required — must be documented in referral information; refresher training or 1:1 onboarding support are not available
• Ability to read Telemetry required — competency will be tested on day one

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple Med-Surg specialty units (e.g., Oncology, Cardiac, Stroke, Wound Care)
• Familiarity with Observation unit workflows and documentation requirements
