Registered Nurse – PACU

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM / 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM) with Call Requirements | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity PACU environment
• Participate in an on-call rotation including 2 on-call shifts Monday–Friday and 1 on-call 12-hour shift on weekends within a 6-week schedule, as well as 1 summer and 1 winter on-call holiday
• Utilize Cerner Aceis Surgi Net for clinical documentation and charting
• May be required to float to affiliated GI or pain center locations as needed
• Deliver care in a Level I Trauma setting, applying critical care competencies across a mixed adult and pediatric patient population

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid Registered Nurse (RN) state license required at time of submission
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Critical Care or PACU
• Level I Trauma experience and ICU background required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in SICU (Surgical ICU), MICU (Medical ICU), or CTICU (Cardiothoracic ICU)
• Familiarity with mixed adult and pediatric patient populations in a trauma setting
