Travel RN – Emergency Department

Location

Conroe, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Every other weekend expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department with a 1:4 patient ratio across a 30-bed unit with additional hall bed capacity
• Perform NIH stroke scale assessments, IV placement, and blood draws
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation and TNK therapy as indicated
• Operate and manage equipment including Baxter IV pumps, GE monitors, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, Belmont Rapid Infusers, and portable EKG machines
• Conduct cardiac monitoring and respond to changes in patient condition
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC certification
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Experience with moderate sedation and rapid infusion protocols
