Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract (13–20 week options) | Nights | 3×12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data for assigned patients
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
• Maintain compliance with annual hands-on competency and module requirements as directed by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license must be in hand at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
• Active AHA BLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty from the past 12 months is required (co-worker references will not be accepted)
• No open background or license hits — background items are reviewed by the facility and no open cases will be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single Med/Surg Telemetry location preferred, though combined experience across locations may be considered
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition and electronic medication administration systems
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
