Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform triage assessments, inductions, cesareans, external versions, NSTs, and circumcisions
• Administer Magnesium Sulfate and provide newborn resuscitation and stabilization
• Care for patients with diagnoses including term labor, antepartum surveillance, newborn care, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and gynecological/surgical overflow cases
• Participate in call coverage and every-other-weekend shifts, with scheduling that may vary based on unit needs
• Float to other units as needed, limited to areas within the nurse’s demonstrated skill set and documented competencies
• Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience (first-time travelers are not eligible)
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are not eligible
• Call coverage and weekend shifts are required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing high-acuity obstetric conditions such as pre-eclampsia and antepartum complications
• Familiarity with gynecological and surgical overflow patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
