Sterile Processing Technician

Contract | Temp-to-Hire | Onsite | Evening Shift (5x8s, 15:00–23:30) | Rotating Weekends | Holiday Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap processes in accordance with facility standards
• Support surgical services across a high-volume Level I Trauma Center environment
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential assignment to alternate campuses or units
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Adhere to inclement weather team assignments and emergency response protocols as directed by management

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sterile processing technician experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Hands-on experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap required
• National certification required: CBSPD and/or HSPA
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; no time off will be approved after contract is signed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedic, Transplant, and/or GYN surgical cases
• Familiarity with teaching facility or Magnet-designated hospital environments
• Ability to adapt to floating assignments across multiple campuses or units
