Key Responsibilities
- Provide supportive services to nursing staff and perform duties as assigned within a long-term care setting
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including lifting, turning, positioning, and transporting in accordance with individualized care plans
- Coordinate dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including setup, cleanup, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake; deliver nutritional supplements and document intake accordingly
- Assist with weighing residents per facility policy, record weights, and report any changes to the nurse and supervisor
- Monitor and report skin condition changes, including pressure areas, skin breakdown, or skin tears, to the nurse and supervisor
- Complete daily flow sheets and progress documentation as directed; keep nursing staff informed of any factors affecting assigned duties or changes in a resident’s condition
Required Qualifications
- Active Michigan CNA certification — no disciplinary action in effect against certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Demonstrated work history showing tenure of greater than 13 weeks at previous positions
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with American Data EMR system
- Experience supporting toileting programs and skin integrity monitoring in a skilled nursing environment
- Ability to adapt to facility-specific documentation and compliance protocols
