Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a hospitalist/general medicine Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Maintain expected nurse-to-patient ratios in a PCU environment (currently 1:5, with a goal of 1:4)
• Float as needed to other PCU units and potentially Med/Surg units within the facility
• Meet weekend shift expectations, which may include every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Complete orientation modules within required timeframes as directed by the facility
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC electronic health records — EPIC experience is required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• EPIC experience required
• PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing experience
• Availability to work at least 1 holiday per 13-week assignment; during winter holiday periods, availability to work 2 holidays (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, NYE/New Year’s Day)
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront at the time of submittal
• Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are generally not eligible; candidates residing 50–99.9 miles away may be considered for a single 13-week assignment with no eligibility to extend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or progressive care setting
• Experience floating between PCU and Med/Surg units
• Familiarity with hospitalist or general medicine patient populations
