Key Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients in an intensive care setting according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and identify expected outcomes
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinating care delivery and employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide care in a safe, healing, and patient-centered environment
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and provide health education to patients, families, and treatment team members
• Supervise and delegate appropriately to various levels of nursing staff, utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor (AHA or ARC) required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor required
• Minimum of two years of recent experience in an ICU or related specialty

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior experience in an acute care facility setting
