Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Lubbock, TX | Short Term Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3×12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:00) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care facility at an expected ratio of 1:5
• Float between units as needed within the facility or to nearby sister facilities as required by the assignment
• Adhere to facility dress code: solid navy blue scrubs required for licensed nursing personnel
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
• Complete all required onboarding modules prior to start and during orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience required
• At least one prior travel contract required (seasoned traveler)
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard terms (locals considered at an adjusted rate)
• 2 professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs/Leads accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and high-acuity Med/Surg patient populations
• Demonstrated flexibility with floating between units in a large acute care setting
