Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with approximately 68,000 annual visits across 5 pods and 49 beds
- Manage a patient load within a maximum 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Care for a diverse patient population including pediatric, trauma, STEMI, and stroke cases within a Level II Trauma Center environment
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records for accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a Joint Commission Accredited STEMI Receiving Center and Stroke Receiving Center
Required Qualifications
- Current California RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience in a Level II Trauma Center or higher, including experience with Pediatrics, Trauma, STEMI, and Stroke patients
- EPIC charting experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Current ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification preferred
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency department setting
