Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Rotating Shifts (two 12-hour and two 8-hour shifts per week) | On-Site | Travel

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a busy OR environment serving patients of all ages
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout surgical procedures
• Participate in call rotations, primarily involving weekends, with the possibility of occasional overnight call during the week
• Float within scope of practice to other areas as needed
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EHR system
• Maintain all required certifications (ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIH) throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia
• ACLS, BLS, HWC, and NIH certifications required prior to start
• Minimum 1–2 years of OR nursing experience
• Must consent to random drug screening and complete a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form prior to start
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Orthopedic surgical experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR
• 2+ years of OR experience
• Motivated, proactive, and professional demeanor with a willingness to seek additional assignments
