Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Neuro)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown Neuro unit, monitoring and managing patients requiring intermediate-level nursing care
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as part of ongoing patient assessment
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols
• Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score
• Participate in holiday coverage, expected to work at least every other holiday
• Maintain active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications throughout the duration of the contract

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or the specialty applying for
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license required at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months, is required — co-worker references will not be accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PCU/Progressive Care experience is preferred
• Experience within a single location for the required specialty experience is preferred, though not required
