Job Title

Sterile Processing Technician

Location

Allentown, PA | Surgical Services

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, 8.5-hour shifts) | Weekend and holiday rotation as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterile processing duties in a fast-paced surgical services environment
• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Ensure compliance with infection control and sterile processing standards
• Rotate to weekend and holiday coverage based on department needs
• Complete orientation modules and required compliance activities within designated timeframes

Required Qualifications

• Valid state license or certification in Sterile Processing required at time of submission
• Experience in sterile processing within a fast-paced clinical environment
• PA Fingerprints (Childline) required — must be completed within one week of contract signing; results may take 2–4 weeks to process
• Must complete required compliance labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Valid references and copies of certifications required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel or contract experience in sterile processing
• Familiarity with surgical instrument sets and sterilization equipment
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and workflows
