Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Renal)

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Renal Medical-Surgical unit serving an adult to geriatric population, with a patient ratio of 1:5–6 and an average daily census of 48 across 49 rooms
• Perform vital sign checks and blood glucose checks independently as part of routine patient assessment
• Document and manage patient care using Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Work every other weekend and adhere to the facility’s holiday work expectations as assigned during the contract period

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Georgia or a valid Compact license required at time of submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted — charge experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic is required
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or onsite, and no RTO may be requested during orientation week
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior charge nurse experience on a Medical-Surgical or Renal unit
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations in an acute care setting
