Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location

San Pedro, CA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (3×12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and care for ventilated patients, including tracheostomy management — required skill
• Utilize Meditech for electronic charting and documentation
• Float to Med/Surg unit as needed based on staffing requirements
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• ACLS certification required
• BCLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry RN experience required
• Demonstrated experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy management required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rate; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of candidate submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech charting system
• Flexibility to float between sister facilities in the surrounding area
• Experience working in an acute care hospital environment
