Job Title

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population on a cardiac stepdown unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
• Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring, EKG, and Doppler studies
• Assist with peritoneal dialysis as part of the care team
• Document accurately using Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication frameworks
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state required at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic is required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a cardiac stepdown or telemetry unit setting
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication
• Experience caring for patients with peritoneal dialysis needs
