Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Labor and Delivery unit with an average daily census of 15, plus a 6-bed L&D Triage area
• Manage a patient population including neonates/infants and adults with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1–2
• Support and assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and D&C procedures
• Utilize Epic (Required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication systems
• Participate in weekend shifts (3 per contract), on-call requirements (2 calls every 6 weeks), and holiday coverage per facility policy
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience; first-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Prior experience with Epic EMR in a Labor and Delivery setting
• Experience working in a high-census, team-based Labor and Delivery environment
