Job Title

RN Flex Pool – Intermediate/Progressive Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-hour shifts (1845–0715) | Expected 36 hours/week following the first week of orientation

Key Responsibilities

• Float between various medical and surgical units, including a Medical Unit, a Surgical Acute Unit, and a Cardiovascular Unit
• Provide direct patient care across units with varying nurse-to-patient ratios (up to 1:8 on nights in the medical unit; 1:6 on the surgical acute unit; 1:4 on the cardiovascular unit)
• Operate and utilize unit equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
• Adhere to professional nursing attire standards (clean scrubs) at all times
• Complete unit-specific orientation and training for each assigned unit prior to independent practice
• Maintain documented proof of immunity — medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof

Required Qualifications

• Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment — candidates not currently holding an active Hawaii license must apply for licensure upon acceptance of offer
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification
• Procedural Sedation certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
