Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab

Location

Glens Falls, NY | Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Inpatient & Outpatient)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Onsite | Full-Time | On-call availability required for emergency procedures during off hours, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Position and immobilize patients on the examining table following specified protocols
• Perform continuous assessment of patient hemodynamics and alert the physician to changes in patient responses
• Perform conscious/moderate sedation and manage IV/IC infusions and bolus administration
• Assist physicians during interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures
• Provide Phase I patient recovery following procedures
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team including specialized physicians, radiology technologists, and cardiovascular technologists

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• 2+ years of experience in cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Cath and peripheral experience, including STEMI and STEMI call experience
• Proficiency interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings
• Conscious sedation and IV experience
• Current New York State RN License, ACLS, and BLS required — must be uploaded with profile
• Candidates with a permanent address in the following New York counties are not eligible for this assignment: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington
• Must have reliable personal transportation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Moderate sedation certification
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
