Job Title

Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Location

Bakersfield, CA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Onsite | Expected 36–48 hours/week | No block scheduling or special scheduling accommodations available; scheduling is based on departmental needs

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and identify expected outcomes
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans; coordinate care delivery across disciplines to promote patient health and safety
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team to deliver care in a safe, healing, and compassionate environment
• Provide health education and information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members using critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience; 3 or more years preferred
• Recent EPIC experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Acute care facility background
• 3 or more years of Emergency Room experience
