Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Bakersfield, CA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Onsite | No block scheduling or special scheduling requests accommodated; scheduling is based on department needs

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and appropriate interventions
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans to promote patient health and safety
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, patient-centered care
• Provide health education and information to patients, families, and treatment team members
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members using critical thinking and independent judgment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor — required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification — required
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification — required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required; 3 or more years preferred
• Recent EPIC experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Acute care facility background
• 3 or more years of Emergency Room experience
