Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Free Standing Emergency Department)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Midshift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM | Weekends Rotate | No On-Call Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 11-bed Free Standing Emergency Department setting
• Perform IV starts and 12-lead EKG monitoring as part of routine patient assessment
• Operate and monitor ventilators and point-of-care lab machines as needed
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with a small, close-knit team including charge nurses and support staff to deliver efficient emergency care
• Rotate weekend shifts as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; candidates with less than 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply
• Proficiency with IV insertion and 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Ability to work rotating weekends

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) setting
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Experience operating ventilators and point-of-care lab equipment
• Team-oriented, inclusive personality with a collaborative work style
