Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4×12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | 2 weekend shifts per contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
• Document patient information and clinical data accurately using Epic EMR (experience required)
• Float to like units within scope of practice as needed based on facility needs, following brief unit orientation
• Complete onsite orientation modules as required prior to beginning patient care assignments
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications and licensure throughout the duration of the contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid Kansas RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• ACLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• PALS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• NIHSS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• TNCC certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
• All requested time off (RTO) must be listed at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience as a first-time traveler welcome; first-time travelers are accepted
• Familiarity with high-acuity emergency patient populations
• Ability to adapt quickly to varying unit environments when floating
