Laboratory Technologist (MLT or MT) – Nights

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and accurately report results to physicians for use in the diagnosis, treatment, and/or monitoring of diseases
• Assist in the general operation of the laboratory, including quality assurance programs
• Perform maintenance and upkeep of laboratory equipment
• Function as a general supervisor for waived, moderate, and high complexity testing upon successful completion of probationary period
• Apply independent judgment and professional education in the execution of laboratory responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology or a related area of specialty
• Certification/registration or certification/registry eligibility as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is required
• National certification through AMT or ASCP is required
• Knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technology
• Ability to work independently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience performing waived, moderate, and/or high complexity laboratory testing
• Experience working within a quality assurance or compliance framework in a clinical laboratory setting
