Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Room

Location

Ottumwa, IA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Monday or Tuesday starts available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 17-bed Emergency Department serving primarily adult and geriatric populations
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 with an average unit volume of approximately 40 visits per day
• Utilize MediTech EHR for documentation and patient management
• Participate in call coverage to support daily volume and 24/7 coverage needs
• Maintain BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC certifications throughout the assignment
• Comply with all mandatory reporting requirements for both child and adult populations

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Iowa
• BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an acute care Emergency Department setting
• Must complete Iowa State and County background check including criminal and child abuse portions — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) from within the last 12 months required
• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience in a similarly sized regional or community hospital Emergency Department
• Familiarity with MediTech EHR
