Surgical Technologist – Operating Room

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub in and provide surgical technologist support across a high-volume OR performing vascular, neuro/neurohybrid, thoracic, robotics, transplant, general, orthopedic, hand, spine, podiatry, gynecological, and carotid/endarterectomy cases
• Demonstrate proficiency scrubbing the full range of surgical case types present in the unit
• Operate and maintain OR-specific equipment including Bovie, tourniquet, harmonic, OR bed, and stretcher
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication dispensing systems as required during cases
• Relieve team members for lunch breaks anywhere within the OR as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation with a 40-minute response time requirement; call hours determined based on schedule

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Prior travel or contract experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• BLS certification required
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required
• Proficiency scrubbing vascular, neuro, thoracic, robotic, transplant, orthopedic, spine, and related surgical cases

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Da Vinci D5 robotic surgical system
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR in a surgical setting
• Experience with Plum ICU Medical IV pump systems
