Travel RN – Pediatric Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 23-bed Pediatric Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient ratio (5:1 during surge)
• Perform procedures including port access, IV starts, venipuncture, nasal wash, point-of-care testing (glucometer), EKG, and Foley placement
• Operate GE monitoring equipment and document care using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, mid-shift RNs, unit clerks, and EMTs
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with top patient satisfaction standards in a fast-paced pediatric emergency setting

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current Pediatric Emergency Department RN experience
• Active RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• ENPC required (PALS will be accepted in lieu of ENPC)
• Pediatric Emergency Department experience specifically required — general ED experience alone will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) certification
• CPEN (Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse) certification
• Demonstrated ultrasound-guided IV (US IV) competency
