Radiology Technologist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, including appropriately educating, positioning, immobilizing, and imaging patients per physician orders
• Operate and maintain X-ray imaging equipment responsibly, ensuring proper utilization and charging of department supplies
• Coordinate X-ray examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care
• Submit required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation and evaluate image quality appropriately
• Prepare and administer contrast according to Radiologist protocol and follow Radiation Safety Measures (ALARA) to ensure patient and staff safety
• Supervise and evaluate student radiographers in the clinical setting and practice sterile technique in accordance with infection prevention policies

Required Qualifications

• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• CT Certification required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• A personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required for this assignment; use of an existing badge from a prior employer or assignment is encouraged to maintain a continuous exposure record
• Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with computer systems including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn position-relevant applications
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines
