Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Contract | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) unit throughout the night shift
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate tracings using electronic fetal monitoring protocols
• Support postpartum patients as needed, including floating to the Postpartum (PP) unit when census or staffing requires
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage on an as-needed basis
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, high-quality maternal and newborn outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification — must hold at least two levels: Basic + Intermediate, Basic + Advanced, or Intermediate + Advanced
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (LDR) experience and Postpartum (PP) experience required; new graduates are not eligible
• Must be willing to float to the Postpartum unit as needed
• No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) during the assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting
• Familiarity with both LDR and Postpartum workflows and patient populations
• Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic, fast-paced maternal care environments
