Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM–6:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU with an average daily census of 16, managing adult patients with diagnoses including trauma, cardiac conditions, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, respiratory distress, and substance abuse/overdose
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2–3 for adult patients
• Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation drips as required
• Read, interpret, and document cardiac monitor strips using GE monitoring equipment, with tele tech oversight support
• Manage patients on respiratory support ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation, troubleshooting equipment as needed
• Float to PCU or occasionally Med/Surg units, maintaining the standard ratio assigned on those units (1:4 or 1:5)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with ICU experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Must successfully pass a unit-specific open-book skills exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; compliance is required for contract continuation
• Availability to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; a valid driver’s license is required at time of submittal for verification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips in a critical care setting
• Familiarity with GE cardiac monitoring systems
• Experience caring for post-procedural patients (post-stent, pacemaker placement, vascular cases)
