Registered Nurse – PACU

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Days | 8-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions in a PACU setting
• Manage patient assessments, pain management, and recovery progression in accordance with clinical protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation, including approximately one weekend every 6–7 weeks (Friday 3:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM) and approximately one weeknight every other week (3:30 PM through 7:00 AM the following morning)
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and timely patient transitions out of the PACU
• Adhere to all facility health and safety policies, including applicable infection control and vaccination compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and adapt well to change in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with a dependable, compassionate, and positive approach to patient care
