Registered Nurse – Wound Care

Location

Rhinelander, WI | Outpatient Wound Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 9-hour shifts, 4 days per week (0730–1700) | Expected 36 hours/week | No weekends | No holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out individualized plans of care developed by the supervising Nurse Practitioner for outpatient wound care patients
• Perform topical wound care, compression wraps, wound VAC management, total contact casting, and conservative sharp wound debridement
• Manage ostomy pouching system changes and treat peristomal skin breakdown
• Conduct inpatient and ED wound care consultations as needed
• Manage approximately 8–9 patient visits per day with CNA assistance
• May be subject to low-census call with a minimum 2-hour call-back requirement; float coverage to a secondary wound clinic location may be required

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Minimum 2 years of wound care experience or relevant wound care certification
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Closed-toe shoes required; no artificial nails or nail polish

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Wound and ostomy certification (e.g., CWON, CWOCN, or equivalent)
• Extensive background working in a wound and/or ostomy clinic setting
• Experience with outpatient procedural or specialty clinic environments
