Registered Nurse – PACU

Location

Rhinelander, WI | Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Days | 8-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions
• Monitor and assess patient status, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weeknight call approximately once every other week and weekend call approximately once every 6–7 weeks (Friday 3:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM)
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient transitions

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid compact RN license
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PACU nursing experience
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records
• Strong time management skills with the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated accountability, dependability, and compassionate patient-centered care
