RN – SSSU/PACU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 4×10-hour shifts with variable schedule and shared on-call rotation for PACU

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across the full Outpatient Services area, including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Pre-operative Clinic, and conscious sedation for special procedures
• Perform nursing assessments utilizing strong skills in Pre-op, Post-op, PACU, Phase II, Endoscopy, and Infusion
• Deliver peri-operative education and care to patients throughout the continuum of outpatient services
• Recognize and respond to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications in a timely and clinically appropriate manner
• Float to various areas within the Outpatient Services department based on patient and facility needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of two years of SSSU, PACU, Pre-op, or Post-op nursing experience required
• Demonstrated proficiency in Pre-op, Post-op, PACU, Phase II, Endoscopy, and Infusion settings

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with conscious sedation for special procedures
• Familiarity with peri-operative patient education and care coordination
