Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for an adult-geriatric patient population in a stepdown setting
• Participate in patient and family teaching throughout the course of care
• Collaborate cooperatively with ancillary nursing and interdisciplinary patient care team members
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical environment
• Manage and monitor patients requiring cardiac drip administration
• Provide care and management for patients with dementia; may float to an additional unit as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Active ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Active NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Cardiac drip experience required
• Dementia experience and management required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Candidate must have personal reliable transportation — this is a firm requirement, as the area does not have public transportation
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification (strongly preferred in addition to required NIH Stroke certification)
• Prior travel nursing experience in a stepdown or progressive care environment
• Experience working in a small community or regional hospital setting
