Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to neonatal patients in an intensive care unit setting
- Manage varying nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU-status patients, and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU patients
- Monitor and assess the condition of critically ill newborns, implementing appropriate interventions as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care, and outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact license eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of Neonatal ICU (NICU) experience required
- Current BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with both ICU-status and stepdown neonatal patient populations
- Familiarity with high-acuity neonatal care protocols and equipment
