Registered Nurse (RN) – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act
• Manage and deliver patient care to assigned patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and under the direction of the attending physician
• Perform AM admissions, blocks, and recovery processes
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation per established protocols
• Delegate and assign responsibilities appropriately to other care team members
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Procedural sedation experience required
• Experience with AM admissions, blocks, and recovery required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active New York State RN License required; must be uploaded with profile
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required; must be current and uploaded with profile
• Must have completed verbal de-escalation training through Welle or CPI prior to onboarding
• Must have own personal vehicle — firm requirement
• Must be available to work holidays as needed
• Candidates with a permanent address in the following New York counties are not eligible for this assignment: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Prior experience at this facility or affiliated health system — please disclose on profile if applicable
