Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to laboring patients and newborns in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient outcomes
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments per physician orders and established protocols
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic health record

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas or compact license eligibility
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Familiarity with fetal monitoring and interpretation
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
