Job Title

Travel RN – Telemetry (Night Shift)

Location

Bowling Green, KY | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 4:1 with cath recovery and up to 6:1 maximum (may occasionally extend to 7:1)
• Monitor patients using remote telemetry monitoring systems and Alaris pumps
• Perform and assist with procedures including chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Apply knowledge of chest tubes and dysrhythmia management in a fast-paced telemetry environment
• Float to Ortho/Med-Surg as needed per unit floating policy (agency staff float first)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Kentucky (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring policies and stroke protocols

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with chest tube management and dysrhythmia recognition and treatment
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• Familiarity with bedside paracentesis and thoracentesis procedures
