Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and identify expected outcomes
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans using critical thinking and independent clinical judgment
• Coordinate and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver care in a safe and supportive environment
• Delegate and supervise the activities of assigned nursing staff and other healthcare team members
• Provide patient and family education and health information, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Employ strategies to promote patient safety, healing, and a positive care environment

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum of two years of recent Emergency Room experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Acute care facility background
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
