Med/Surg Nights RN

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care in a Medical/Surgical setting
• Perform excellent patient assessments and communicate findings clearly and accurately
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation using computer systems
• Function independently while managing a Medical/Surgical patient caseload
• Act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations as they arise
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and values

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maine or compact eligibility
• Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to function independently and prioritize care effectively
• Ability to respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working night shift in a Medical/Surgical unit
• Familiarity with Maine State nursing standards and practices
